Meet Natasha, the unwavering force behind Jencie Swimwear
Imagine returning to Australia after an extended stay overseas, excited for beach life. The sun, sand, and surf calling you to pristine shores only to be unable to find swimwear that not only looked great, but fit your proportions.
This is exactly what happened to Natasha. After spending time living and working abroad in the cold climate of Northern Canada , she was looking forward to once again while away the hours on the beach, spending lazy days relaxing in the sun by the water.
But when faced with the prospect of purchasing swimwear that was appropriately sized for her body shape, Natasha struck out time and time again. Disappointed by the one-shape-fits-all approach available at both specialist outlets and big box clothing stores she knew there was only one thing to do...
And that was to develop her very own line of swimwear, created to boost the confidence of regular women.
What is Jencie Swimwear?
The moment you're sipping homemade lemonade by the pool. That grin on your face while you're at the beach.
It's you, comfortable in your own skin
The design of the Jencie swimwear range starts by taking beautiful and iconic elements and applying them to the everyday woman. Through continued redevelopment, our designs accommodate features which aren't typically found in other swimwear products.
Incorporating a seamless stitch to combine two pieces of the same material, creating a high-quality lining which prevents edges from digging into the fleshy parts of your body, meaning they remain comfortable all day. And by adding the lining, our products allow for an attractive reversible design which can be found across the entire Jencie Swimwear range.
With specifically curved chest panels to accomodate a C-F cup breast and a tighter midriff to add shapewear features to each of our designs and eliminate the need of an underwire or padding to hold you in place.
Effortlessly smoothing and redefining your curves to make you feel even more confident.
"These fit me so well, they're great. I honestly love these bathing suits that Natasha has created."

The homemade lemonade and beach umbrellas came later
Moving across the world is one thing, but starting a swimwear label while also attending university, studying two degrees and working full time?Just reading that probably tired you out!
With her mind set on creating a product for regular women, Natasha dove head long into the world of clothing design, product development, and production.
Definitely not an easy task, thats for sure.
Most swimwear is designed around a b-cup
While still in the development phase of the first products for Jencie Swimwear, Natasha found it hard to source a manufacturer that could meet her needs.
While there were plenty of options to choose from, she found that the vast majority weren't setup to produce a standard body size and shape which could also accommodate for a larger breast size.
● Looking for a size 6-12? It's a b-cup.
● What about sizes 12-14? Yup, b-cup.
● Maybe a size 14-22? Nope, still a b-cup.
But this didn't deter Tash, if anything it made her even more determined to find a manufacturer who could deliver the range of swimwear she knew that women everywhere needed.
A chance to change your swimwear experience forever
6 months, a ton of sample orders, and many conversations with manufacturers later, Tash found that none of them quite lived up to their promises and delivered samples which were ill-fitting and sometimes of questionable quality.
It was by a stroke of luck she was finally introduced to a manufacturer that was willing to work together to produce the type of swimwear range she'd dreamed of all along.
A swimsuit range which fit the shapes and sizes of regular women, and also boosted confidence to made them feel great when at the beach or by the pool.
Even with a great manufacturer to help deliver her dreams, there were initial teething problems. The time to produce samples, the cost to continue to develop and redevelop her products, but also the concept of 'mid-size' products the manufacturer provided was very different that what she'd expected.
The birth of something remarkable
After weeks of discussion, continuing to forge a shared understanding of 'mid-size' swimwear, months of additional work, and a further rounds of product samples...
...finally after two years, Tash's journey to find a manufacturer who could produce the Jencie Swimwear line just the way she wanted had become a reality.
